Iceland Airwaves

The annual Iceland Airwaves music festival attracts masses of music lovers from all around, showcasing the best in Icelandic and international music. Culture Night (Menningarnott)

Reykjavik Culture Night sees tens of thousands of people hit the streets of the city in search of culture on what always proves to be an exciting and eventful night. The mid-summer event offers the chance to experience a number of activities including tours, exhibitions, and musical performances. Most cultural institutes such as galleries, museums, and also shops, cafes, restaurants and bars all take part and stay open late. And closing with a show of fireworks.

Reykjavik International Film Festival (RIFF)

RIFF presents both Icelandic and international cinema every September with hundreds of showings and events taking place in and around the city centre. Also, during the festival, many other events take place, for example, panels, concerts, and art exhibitions.
