What to do in Reykjavik - Things to see

Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik is a small city compared to most; however, due to its size, the city offers an intimate, cosy environment whilst still accommodating everything that a larger city would, such as culture, nightlife, restaurants, shops, activities and much more.

The downtown area is filled with striking architecture, both old and new, magnificent sculptures, numerous tourist attractions, a beautiful lake encompassed by park land, and to top it all off, is surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges that in the winter are covered in a blanket of snow. However you wish to spend your holiday, the city offers opportunities for every occasion. Why not relax and soak it up in one of the city’s many geothermal heated pools? If you are feeling a little more adventurous, why not indulge in Iceland’s fascinating cultural heritage and visit one of the many museums or galleries?

In addition to the downtown area, visitors are encouraged to venture out of the city centre to neighbouring areas and experience some of the various attractions that they have to offer including horse riding, hiking, golf, and much more, all of which are just a few minutes away from the downtown area.
